Introduction

OpenSource Intelligent Solutions (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Johannesburg team. This role is ideal for a recruitment professional with a strong background in IT and SAP recruitment who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle — from business development and client engagement to candidate placement and posthire follow-up
  • Partner with hiring managers and clients to understand their technical and cultural requirements
  • Proactively identify and engage top IT and SAP talent across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, job portals, networking, referrals, and headhunting).
  • Build and maintain robust candidate pipelines for both contract and permanent roles.
  • Conduct detailed technical interviews and competency assessments to ensure strong candidate-client alignment.
  • Negotiate offers, manage counteroffers, and guide candidates through the onboarding process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients within the IT and SAP sectors
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion and provide strategic talent insights to clients
  • Present tailored recruitment solutions and market intelligence to decision-makers
  • Stay up to date on IT and SAP market trends, salary benchmarks, and in-demand skill sets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve recruitment strategies, enhance employer branding, and streamline processes.
  • Represent the company professionally at industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT and specifically SAP recruitment
  • Experience with identifying, matching and interviewing skills to IT and SAP specialist roles
  • Proficiency in using systems such as Placement Partner, LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruitment systems
  • A proven track record in managing a full 360 desk and achieving or exceeding placement targets
  • In-depth understanding of IT disciplines (infrastructure, development, ERP, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, etc.) and SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM, etc.).
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interview IT specialists in the industry
  • Proven track record in identifying and securing new business in the IT Specialist space
  • Ability to generate own client leads, research and identify decision makers
  • Ability to land new business, develop and grow clientele
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Account management marketing and development skills
  • A valid drivers’ license with own reliable vehicle (essential)
