About the Position

The Recruitment & Engagement Manager plays a critical role in managing and nurturing candidate and incoming associate relationships across the Undergraduate Teaching Program (UTP) pipeline. This includes engaging incoming associates, maintaining relationships with deferred candidates, and re-engaging withdrawn applicants to maximise conversion into the program. Sitting within the Victorian State Team and working in close partnership with Recruitment, this role ensures a seamless, high-quality candidate experience from offer through to program commencement. In addition, the role contributes to program coordination, supporting logistics, communications, and delivery of key in-program activities to ensure a strong participant experience.

Qualifications and Experience  

Essential 

  • Experience in relationship management, recruitment, program coordination, or similar  

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven or stakeholder-focused environment  

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders  

Skills, Attributes and Knowledge  

Essential 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and trust  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail  

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in an ambiguous environment  

  • Data literacy and ability to use insights to inform decision-making  

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking capability

Primary Accountabilities  

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with UTP candidates, incoming associates, and partner schools to maximise engagement, conversion, and program readiness  

  • Maintain oversight of candidate pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking and proactive management of risks and opportunities  

  • Collaborate with Programs and RAMP to design engagement strategies deferred and withdrawn candidates. Delivering agreed strategies to support program re-entry for these candidates.   

  • Support coordination and delivery of key onboarding and early program experiences, including working with Regional Managers and School Partnerships to support school engagement for the program
