Description

Role Overview:

This role is responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle at Sensei Group (Sensei + Altus) – from recruitment and onboarding through to development, engagement, and employee relations. You’ll work closely with leaders and employees alike, acting as a trusted advisor, advocate, and capability builder.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining Sensei + Altus as a great places to work, while ensuring our people practices are fair, compliant, and continuously improving.

Key responsibilities

  • Be a trusted People & Culture advisor to leaders and team members across the business.
  • Advocate for great employee experiences and actively support engagement initiatives.
  • Lead and support employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, and development processes.
  • Coach and equip managers to have confident, productive people conversations.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and probation processes end-to-end.
  • Run and continuously improve our Performance Development Plan (PDP) process.
  • Support remuneration reviews, talent management, succession planning, and offboarding activities.
  • Manage and optimise people processes through our HRIS (ELMO).
  • Provide guidance on employment legislation, WHS, EEO, and workplace policies.
  • Deliver or facilitate training and capability uplift, including soft-skills training.
  • Support corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and cultural activities.
  • Use data, insights, and emerging tools (including Microsoft Copilot) to improve how we work.


Skills And Experiences

Sound interesting? Here’s the key skills set you’ll need to qualify:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a HR Generalist or Business Partner role.
  • Strong experience managing employee relations and performance processes.
  • Proven ability to coach and support leaders.
  • Experience running recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Solid understanding of Australian employment legislation and workplace practices.
  • Strong documentation, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with a HRIS (ELMO highly regarded).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Relevant qualifications in HR, business, commerce or psychology (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
