Introduction

A leading ferrochrome recovery operation in the Rustenburg, Brits and Steelpoort area is seeking skilled and motivated Millwrights to join their maintenance team.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, technically skilled, and able to work independently as well as part of a maintenance team. They will have strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities, experience maintaining mineral processing equipment, and a proven ability to minimise downtime through effective maintenance and rapid breakdown response.

Duties & Responsibilities

Position Details

  • Installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
  • Assisting with maintenance administration.
  • Standing in for the Maintenance Superintendent when required.
  • Providing leadership and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure operational continuity.
  • Participating in a rotating standby roster.
  • Responding promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements outside normal working hours.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • N3, Qualified Millwright, Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) or similar qualifications.
  • Completed Millwright Apprenticeship at an accredited training provider or employer.
  • 3–5 years' post-trade experience in mining or mineral processing.
