HR Leadership & Strategy

DynaTen (a Comfort Systems USA Company) has been successfully providing Commercial Service and Construction Solutions to the greater North Texas market. The Human Resources Director is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This includes oversight of talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Director serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership and a champion for the company’s culture and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and programs that support the organization's overall business objectives

Policies and Procedures:

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures specific to the construction industry, ensuring compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Advise management and employees on HR policies, employee relations issues, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure consistency in the application of policies across different project sites and office locations.
  • Ensuring that the organization complies with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

HR Systems and Reporting:

  • Manage and update employee records through HRIS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
  • Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports to support decision-making and identify trends for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership with key HR data for workforce planning, retention strategies, and resource allocation.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for employees to address concerns, foster a supportive environment, and mediate any conflicts that arise.
  • Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and employee well-being, considering the unique needs of our workforce.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees in relation to HR issues, such as benefits, policy, and workplace behavior.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between HR and various departments, ensuring alignment of company goals and HR strategies.
  • Work closely with leaders at all levels of the organization, from field managers to senior executives, fostering open communication and collaboration to address workforce needs.
  • Develop and facilitate training programs to enhance employee skills, safety knowledge, and career development.
  • Engage with employees at all levels to ensure alignment in company values, policies, and initiatives, creating a strong, unified work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience with WorkDay and modern HR technologies.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.
