What can you expect from this position?
Reporting to the Director, Inclusion & Workplace Culture, the Associate Director, Workplace Experience & Corporate Services will be responsible for shaping the strategic vision, management, and execution of innovative workplace experiences and Corporate Services programs.
You will own the end-to-end workplace experience including oversight of facilities management across all GTAA locations, development, management, and continuous enhancement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Workplace Experience & Corporate Services functions, and strategically overseeing the development, contract negotiation, and management of the Corporate Services department's budget.
You will inspire and empower a team of unionized professionals to be Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on key functions, while driving strategic clarity by articulating vision and goals and fostering a shared sense of purpose and direction. You will achieve organizational success by guiding individuals through the complexities of the organization, removing obstacles, breaking down barriers, and creating opportunities for cross-functional collaboration.
As an Associate Director, Workplace Experience & Corporate Services, you will:
- Define and advance the workplace experience strategy across all GTAA locations by setting clear standards, services, and amenities that align with organizational values, culture, and futureâofâwork objectives.
- Provide strategic oversight of Corporate Services programs, budgets, and contracts, ensuring financial sustainability, risk management, and alignment with GTAA’s broader priorities.
- Ensure safe, secure, and highâperforming workplaces through proactive oversight of facilities, building systems, fixtures, and services, in close collaboration with Engineering, IT, Safety & Security, and partner teams.
- Own execution of core workplace operations including boardrooms, visitor experience, mail and courier services, document management, and operational response protocols, ensuring consistent, highâquality service delivery.
- Develop, monitor, and continuously enhance KPIs across Workplace Experience and Corporate Services, using data and insights to drive accountability, performance improvement, and informed decisionâmaking.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and business leaders to understand evolving needs, respond to employee feedback, and deliver innovative, practical workplace solutions while proactively identifying and managing risk.
- Build strong, valuesâbased relationships with external vendors, overseeing contracts, SLAs, negotiations, and performance reviews to deliver service excellence, innovation, and cost effectiveness.
- Lead the design and implementation of modern workplace solutions, including new technologies, workflows, and service models that improve employee experience, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, reduce costs, and deliver measurable value to the organization.
- Lead, coach, and develop a highâperforming team by building subjectâmatter expertise, encouraging ownership and accountability, and supporting professional growth through meaningful feedback and development opportunities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and psychologically safe work environment by setting clear expectations, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy, and promoting engagement and wellâbeing.

This is the role for you, if you have:
- 5+ years of experience leading and supervising teams, with a proven ability to engage, develop, and motivate employees.
- Experience managing corporate facilities and records management programs in a hybrid and onâsite work environment.
- Level 3 CRM completion in facilities management, risk and crisis management, leadership and strategy, compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
- Demonstrated accountability for departmental operations, including budget ownership and effective vendor, supplier, and contract management.
- Proven ability to lead endâtoâend procurement and contract strategies, including RFP development, negotiations, contract awards, and ongoing vendor governance.
- Strong executiveâlevel communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, lead complex discussions, and build collaborative partnerships.
- Proven decisive leadership in complex, multiâstakeholder environments, supported by strong analytical judgment, prioritization skills, and solutionâfocused decisionâ
- Demonstrated professionalism and sound judgment, ensuring legislative and security compliance while leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency and service excellence.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
- Postâsecondary diploma in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.
