Position Summary
The Workforce Planning Analyst plays a key role in supporting organizational effectiveness through strategic workforce analysis, headcount planning, and talent movement insights. This position contributes to long-term business goals by identifying workforce trends, supporting internal mobility and succession planning efforts, and helping maintain accurate organizational structure data. The Analyst collaborates cross-functionally with HR, department leaders, and the Talent Acquisition team to deliver data-driven recommendations that enhance workforce alignment, improve talent forecasting, and enable agile decision-making.


Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to support workforce planning, identifying talent gaps, emerging skills, and future staffing needs
  • Analyze workforce data to support internal mobility, succession planning, and strategic headcount planning.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Team to identify roles with limited external pipelines and support strategies to build internal readiness.
  • Help maintain and update organizational charts and job architecture frameworks to reflect structural changes and role evolution.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining talent dashboards, reports, and models to support HR and business decision-making.
  • Support department leaders in the creation of workforce and talent plans that align with long-term business objectives.
  • May assist with annual compensation and benefits benchmarking and analysis as needed.
  • Support new hire onboarding process when needed, such as data entry and orientation coordination.
  • May occasionally provide support to recruitment activities, including tracking candidates, scheduling, or generating reports.
  • Stay informed on market trends and workforce analytics to inform strategic HR initiatives.
  • Contribute to cross-functional HR projects related to organizational design, change readiness, or cultural alignment.
  • Understand and abide by BMSC’s Employee Handbook at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times, following cGMP and SOP guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, policies, and procedures during the recruitment process. 
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information, exercising discretion and professionalism at all times.
     

Qualifications

Technical Skills Required

  • Proficient in using HRIS and workforce analytics/reporting tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interfacing with associates, managers, and leadership at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization), Word, and Outlook
  • Must be detail-oriented and result driven with good problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a CPG Manufacturing Environment is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.

Experience Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in workforce planning, talent analytics, human resources analytics, or organizational planning is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, stoop repeatedly.
  • Physically able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, electrical, chemicals, and vibrations,
  • Frequent use of computer screen.
  • Exposure to repetitive motions (making substantial movements/motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers)
  • Ability to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed.
