Additional compensation includes:
- Hourly employees:
- 1.5x Holiday Pay
- 1.5x Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week
- Full-time employees:
- Generous PTO beginning with a maximum of 104 hours annually

POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of People & Culture is the executive leader responsible for shaping the employee experience, strengthening organizational culture, and ensuring Atlantic Shores attracts, develops, and retains exceptional talent. This role oversees all aspects of human resources, talent strategy, learning and development, employee engagement, and organizational culture.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the VP ensures that people-focused strategies support operational excellence, resident experience, and long-term organizational success. This leader champions a culture of accountability, inclusion, service, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Note: other duties may be assigned.
Strategic People Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive People & Culture strategy aligned with organizational goals and the long-term master plan.
- Serve as the CEO’s principal advisor on workforce trends, culture, talent, and organizational health.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, retention, and leadership development.
- Partner with the VP team to ensure people strategy is integrated into all major initiatives and operational decisions.
Human Resources Oversight
- Provide executive leadership for all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
- Ensure HR policies, practices, and systems support a fair, consistent, and high performing workplace.
- Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and HR reporting.
Culture, Engagement & Internal Communications
- Champion a culture of service, hospitality, accountability, and teamwork.
- Lead employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and culture building efforts.
- Oversee internal communication strategies that promote clarity, transparency, and alignment.
- Build strong relationships with employees at all levels, ensuring approachability and trust.
Learning, Development & Leadership Growth
- Oversee training and development programs, including new hire orientation, supervisor training, and leadership development.
- Create career pathways and succession planning strategies to build internal bench strength.
- Ensure compliance training is effective, accessible, and engaging.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead recruitment strategies to attract top talent across clinical, hospitality, facilities, and administrative roles.
- Oversee workforce planning, staffing models, and retention strategies.
- Strengthen employer branding and community partnerships to support recruitment pipelines.
Organizational Development
- Support organizational design, change management, and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to strengthen team dynamics, communication, and accountability.
- Use data and analytics to inform decision making and measure organizational health.

QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in HR, business, organizational development, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR/People leadership experience, including senior or executive roles.
- Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multi-department environments preferred.
- Strong background in employee relations, culture building, and organizational development.
