Charter Steel is hiring a Talent Development Intern!

Program Structure:

  • Duration/Schedule: Flexible part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer months.
  • Location: Hybrid
  • Start Date: January 2026

What We're Looking For:

  • Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Human Resources or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills to assist employees with questions.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Preferred Experience:

  • HRIS experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with HR practices and HR law.

What You'll Focus On:

  • Provide employee customer service.
  • Ensure timely and accurate HRIS data updates.
  • Maintain employee file accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Create process maps to document process related to talent and On-the-Job Training.
  • Support On-the-Job Training: Follow up with trainers and supervisors to build confidence in program and systems.
  • Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description.
  • Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
