This role offers the opportunity to partner with firm leadership, influence attorney career progression, and design strategies that strengthen retention, engagement, and long-term success.

As the Director of Attorney Talent Development, you will serve as a strategic advisor to firm leadership, creating and leading attorney development programs across onboarding, training, mentoring, performance management, and leadership growth initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise firm leadership on attorney development, talent strategy, and career progression initiatives
  • Design and manage attorney development programs including onboarding, mentoring, leadership development, and succession planning
  • Lead performance management, feedback, and promotion processes for attorneys
  • Partner with HR, recruiting, and practice leaders to align talent initiatives with business objectives
  • Develop leadership and partner readiness programs
  • Analyze retention data, exit feedback, and engagement trends to improve attorney experience
  • Manage learning systems, training programs, and development analytics
  • Lead and develop professional development team members

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in attorney development, talent strategy, or professional development within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong experience supporting attorney/partner development initiatives
  • Background in performance management, leadership development, and talent programs
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with learning management systems, CLE platforms, and training programs
  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA, or master’s degree preferred
