The Talent Acquisition Representative supports the full lifecycle of talent acquisition operations, including eligibility review, onboarding, compliance, reporting, and internal transfers. This role plays a key part in ensuring a seamless candidate experience, maintaining data integrity, and fostering cross-functional collaboration with hiring departments and HR partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Team Member Onboarding: Performs onboarding tasks for assigned departments, including offer entry and pre-employment screening, coordinating communication with hires and departments and facilitating onboarding logistics such as equipment, uniforms, and vendor coordination.

2. Pre Employment & Transfer Requirement Administration: Reviews job descriptions and select appropriate background check packages (DMV, Live Scan, Psych, etc.). Manages background discrepancies and verifications (education, employment). Acts as liaison for internal transfers, coordinating dates and pre-employment requirements.

3. Eligibility & Compliance Management: Reviews and processes internal and external candidate eligibility. Conducts research and make decisions using established matrices. Provide administrative support for escalations and sensitive cases. Maintain record retention and ensure compliance with data standards.

4. Recruiting Operations & Data Management: Produce and analyze weekly onboarding, audit and hiring reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual and ad hoc basis. Maintains and update SOPs, job aids, and playbooks to ensure process consistency.

5. Administrative & Partner Communications and Support: Provides administrative support to Gaming and Wardrobe departments, including scheduling and uniform distribution. Manage Recruiting Operations phone communications including candidate, onboarding, tribal internship and recruiting support.

6. New Employee Orientation (NEO): Prepare and supports NEO sessions, including I-9 verification, Workday support, and uniform distribution. Maintains NEO-related audits and compliance reports (I-9, uniform, attendance). (10%) Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.   
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, or related operations required.
  • Experience in the Hotel/Casino/Hospitality industry or other customer/guest experience, a plus.  
  • Experience in Workday or similar HRIS platforms, preferred.
  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of the minimum educational requirements indicated above.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

  • Strong knowledge of onboarding, compliance, and background check processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Skilled in critical thinking, front-facing customer service, and relationship building.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and calculated fields.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
  • Flexible and adaptable, thriving in dynamic and constantly changing environments.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Driving Responsibilities: Role requires regular commuting between locations. A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits is required. Role will not operate or drive Tribe-owned vehicles or patron vehicles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS – ENVIRONMENT

  • Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.
  • Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
  • Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
  • Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
  • Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
  • Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
  • The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
