Recruiting:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment activities for roles across the firm, with a focus on civil engineers.
  • Ensure the organization and Talent Acquisition conducts all hiring activities in full compliance of applicable, federal, state and local laws.
  • Partner with Compensation and Benefits to create and post job requisitions, review resumes, conduct phone screens, gather feedback on candidates, and make recommendations for hire or other disposition. (Full lifecycle recruitment)
  • Develop an understanding of Schnabel’s culture, practices, and roles to effectively convey to new candidates. (Lives the Core Values of Schnabel)
  • Employ talent acquisition best practices consistently to expand and enhance the candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with the HR team and business to align recruiting activities with talent needs.
  • Partner with Compensation & Benefits to ensure internal equity and competitiveness of offers being extended to applicants.
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on recruitment best practices and interview techniques.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies and processes that align with company goals and values.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of TA KPIs. 
  • Source potential candidates through various channels, including online platforms and professional networks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with applicants and past employees to create a strong talent pipeline.

College Recruiting:

  • May assist with the University Recruiting Program, including career fair(s) registration and university representative coordination and hiring of interns.
  • Plan and execute career fairs and other recruitment events to attract top talent.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve the employer brand and attract diverse candidates.
  • May assist in collecting and analyzing data from career fairs to evaluate company performance and student attendance, using insights to improve future recruiting efforts.

Sponsorship:

  • Support immigration management in collaboration with third-party immigration consultants.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in immigration processes.
  • Coordinate and manage visa sponsorships and renewals for foreign national employees.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with immigration attorneys and consultants.
  • May assist and report on sponsorship metrics and trends to inform strategic decisions.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Collaborate with other HR staff and legal to evaluate background check and drug screen processes to ensure compliance in hiring.
  • May assist in managing employee I-9s and E-verify processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment activities and candidate information in applicant tracking system. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field, or commensurate experience.
  • 5+ years of total life cycle recruiting experience.
  • Knowledge of compensation best practices, benefits, and regulatory compliance to demonstrate overall employee value proposition
  • Experience in a firm that includes fully onsite, hybrid, and fully remote teams.
  • Experience in an engineering or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in an employee-owned (ESOP) firm is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills and proficiency.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

The compensation range for this role is between $75,000 to $100,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
