Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will facilitate the employment aspect of the Human Resources department to include coordination of the hiring process, employee orientation, related reporting, reference inquiries and other duties/responsibilities warranted by the Human Resources department.

  1. Identifying needs, creating job descriptions, sourcing candidates, interviewing applicants, making job offers, completing background and reference checks, onboarding and assisting with New Employee Orientation (NEO).
  2. Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to maximize functionality.
  3. Partner with leaders to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment plans to fill vacancies.
  4. Creates job ads that are creative and drive candidate flow.
  5. Conduct phone interviews and pass recommendations on to hiring leaders.
  6. Build rapport with candidates and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  7. Coordinates on-site interviews, proactively and effectively communicating with leaders and candidates.
  8. Develops long term recruitment strategies to attract and retain top level candidates to fill vacancies and meet organizational goals.   
  9. Develops and coordinates internal job posting program and writes job postings.
  10. Coordinates participation in, set up display and works at job fairs.
  11. Networks with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
  12. Makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities.   Develops and builds the Ovation brand.
  13. Works with external Talent Acquisition Specialists and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Experience:     Minimum of five (5) years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Education:       High school diploma or equivalent

                        Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

Licenses &

            Certifications:  Maintain valid driver’s license

Other:              Must maintain complete confidentiality and discretion

Read, write and speak the English language

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools
