Your North Star
As the Talent Acquisition Lead, you’ll play a critical dual role in scaling our team and supporting our people in Lisbon. You’ll drive recruitment strategy and execution and serve as the go-to People & Culture representative for the Lisbon office.
This is a high-pressure, high-impact role. We move fast, and so must you. You’ll be expected to take full ownership of open roles from day one, drive hiring with urgency, and proactively remove blockers to help us scale. While your title is Talent Acquisition Lead, your influence will extend well beyond this role, which requires resilience, autonomy, and a strong bias toward action.
A Day in the Life of the Talent Acquisition Lead
Talent Acquisition
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle for roles across all departments by sourcing, interviewing, and closing top-tier candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, ideal profiles, and interview processes.
- Proactively source and engage top talent through creative channels; you won’t wait for great people to apply
- Track and report on pipeline activity, time-to-hire, and team performance against hiring targets
- Coach, support and collaborate with our Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant who is based in the Cape Town office
- Use data from BambooHR and recruitment analytics to improve time-to-hire, funnel health, and sourcing efficiency.
- Collaborate with Marketing on employer branding initiatives to position RoomRaccoon as an employer of choice.
- Manage job board accounts, agency partnerships, and recruitment tools.
People Operations (Lisbon focus)
- Act as the local People point of contact for the Lisbon office, escalating and coordinating with the global People team as needed.
- Support the onboarding of new hires and ensure an engaging Day 1 to Day 30 experience.
- Provide employee support for questions related to policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Champion a positive and inclusive office culture in Lisbon that is aligned with RoomRaccoon values.
- Support performance review processes, culture initiatives, and internal mobility conversations.
- Ensure that People Policies and Processes are applied consistently in Lisbon and in alignment with company-wide standards and practices.
Key skills
- 8+ years in recruitment, with at least 2 years of management experience.
- Experience in HR operations, employee relations, or people partnering is a strong plus.
- Previous exposure to or management of recruitment tools (we use BambooHR).
- Proven ability to work autonomously while collaborating cross-functionally.
- Fluency in English (Portuguese a plus but not required).
- A passion for people, culture, and building best-in-class candidate and employee experiences.
- A flexible, collaborative mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute beyond the job title.
