Purpose Of the Role:

To fulfill a specialist function within the Human Capital Department by developing and implementing an engagement and experience strategy for the Group, managing the Group Impilo and Employee Wellness Programme, and supporting Organisational Development (OD) and Talent Management initiatives.

Required Experience and Qualification

  • Completed Degree in HR or Industrial Psychology (NQF Level 7 essential).
  • Postgraduate qualification advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years HR experience.
  • Previous proven experience in employee engagement advantageous.
  • Experience with design platforms such as Canva or similar advantageous.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Excel (moderate proficiency).
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport required.

You Will be Responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the Group’s Engagement and Experience strategy.
  • Managing the Group’s Impilo Programme, including annual calendar planning, event coordination, committee communication, and all related communication across the Group.
  • Conducting engagement surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms to measure employee engagement and experiences.
  • Evaluating and enhancing the onboarding process to improve talent acquisition and employee experience.
  • Developing and maintaining an Employee Value Proposition per entity, ensuring effective implementation and promotion internally and externally.
  • Collaborating with HR Business Partners on culture framework initiatives to strengthen and embed organisational culture.
  • Coordinating employee engagement campaigns such as Townhalls, sports supporter campaigns, long service award celebrations, and recognition programmes.
  • Designing and implementing a total wellbeing strategy focusing on mind, body, and soul, including needs assessments, awareness campaigns, wellness events, and programme evaluation.
  • Managing relationships with our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) service provider.
  • Providing support in OD and Talent Management programmes including Performance Management, Rewards and Recognition, Talent Acquisition, Change Management, Leadership Development, Succession Planning, and talent Mobility.
  • Assisting with internal corporate communications as required.
