Introduction

Our mining client just outside Rustenburg is seeking a Site Manager to join their operation.

Preference will be given to candidates who meet the minimum criteria and reside within our host labour sending area of Royal Bafokeng Nation and Rustenburg Local  Municipality. (Proof of residence is essential)

 

Duties & Responsibilities

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that an effective operational plan has been generated
  • Ensure that maintenance schedules are in place and that breakdowns are corrected timeously
  • VFL Visits
  • Ensure that safety programmes are in place and implemented.
  • Safety Controls
  • Maintain effective budgetary control.
  • Ensure that the site maintains a high level of good housekeeping.
  • Client reports
  • Mining reports
  • Daily meetings and client liaison
  • Recording and submitting of plant hours
  • Recording of availabilities and utilizations
  • Daily diesel control and daily measurement of diesel caps and consumptions
  • Daily drilling and blasting controls
  • Conduct on the job training coaching and ensure all staff are adequately trained

Desired Experience & Qualification

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 5 Years min experience in Hard Rock Opencast Mining as a Site Manager
  • Surface Blasting ticket: 3 years experience in Hard Rock Mining as Contracts Manager
  • Competency A
  • Mining/Civil Engineering Industry diploma or relevant qualification
