Job Summary

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Senior Recruiter leads the hourly recruiting process from sourcing top talent through offer acceptance. This role designs and executes strategic staffing initiatives to attract qualified candidates and position Wayne-Sanderson Farms as a premier employer in the poultry industry.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-cycle recruiting process for hourly roles—from sourcing and screening to interviews and offers
  • Facilitate realistic job previews so candidates understand the work environment and expectations before they join
  • Own the offer process by generating and managing offer letters in Workday, ensuring timely signatures and documentation
  • Coordinate post-offer screenings and collaborate with HR to finalize start dates for cleared candidates
  • Support internal mobility by partnering with HR on job bids and presenting compelling offers to internal talent
  • Maintain applicant tracking in ATS, ensuring candidate records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant
  • Craft compelling job postings that reflect the role’s responsibilities and resonate with the right candidates
  • Track and report recruiting metrics to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Represent the brand at job fairs, open houses, and college visits—building strong community relationships and expanding our talent pipeline
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR team to understand role requirements and ensure the best hiring decisions
  • Occasionally support salaried recruiting needs as requested
  • Coach and mentor Recruiting Coordinators, fostering growth and development across the team
  • Champion process improvements that streamline operations and elevate the candidate experience
  • Promote a culture of safety, modeling best practices and compliance across all recruiting activities
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and business goals


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • At least 2 years of hands-on recruiting experience, ideally in high-volume, hourly environments
  • 1+ year of leadership experience, with a strong grasp of compliance, conflict resolution, and team management
  • Proficiency in Workday or similar ATS platforms, with strong technical skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional communication skills—clear, professional, and inclusive; multilingual abilities are a plus
  • A sharp eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle priorities with ease
  • A collaborative mindset, high discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with a sense of urgency and drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment


Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred


WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work non-standard hours (i.e., holidays, weekends and/or extended shifts as needed per business need
  • Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
