Hi, we’re Search Atlas! We’re a rapidly growing SEO software company and full-service digital agency that helps websites improve their Google performance. From Fortune 500 companies to Silicon Valley startups, our clients trust us to drive results.

We’re looking for a senior, systems-minded People Operations Specialist to manage, maintain, and continuously improve the internal infrastructure that supports our global team. This role is ideal for someone who excels at optimizing existing processes, managing HR tools, and driving operational excellence across a distributed workforce—while also bringing creativity and energy to our remote team culture.

You’ll own the ongoing management and optimization of our People Ops systems, refine established workflows, mentor others on best practices, and ensure our people processes remain efficient, well-documented, and evolve with the company’s needs. You’ll also lead our “Sunshine” initiatives, creating memorable remote experiences that bring our distributed team together.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain existing People Operations processes (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, policy management, documentation workflows), identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization
  • Own the day-to-day management of people systems and tools (e.g., HRIS, knowledge bases, internal forms), ensuring smooth operations and data accuracy
  • Maintain and refine process documentation, SOPs, and templates to ensure consistency and clarity across all people-related workflows
  • Manage and optimize our employee records system, ensuring it supports compliance and operational efficiency across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support and manage internal change initiatives by executing rollout plans for updated tools, processes, or policies
  • Plan and host remote team events, including virtual parties, celebrations, team-building activities, and other “Sunshine” initiatives that foster connection across time zones
  • Design and execute creative remote engagement strategies that make distributed team members feel valued, included, and connected
  • Act as a strategic partner and central point of contact for cross-functional collaboration and complex employee needs

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR coordination
  • Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining people systems such as HRIS platforms (e.g., Deel, BambooHR, Breezy), documentation tools, and internal automations
  • Expert process thinking with the ability to manage, optimize, and refine complex workflows for clarity and scalability
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across time zones
  • Proficiency in Canva for creating engaging visual content and communications
  • Proven experience planning and hosting remote events and creating innovative virtual engagement initiatives for distributed teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and comfort handling sensitive information with discretion
  • A proactive, systems-oriented mindset with proven ability to identify and drive incremental improvements
  • Experience navigating multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements and managing operations in distributed environments
  • Creative, high-energy approach to building remote culture and making virtual interactions feel personal and fun
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions with minimal oversight
  • Experience with ClickUp is a huge plus – familiarity with managing workflows, automations, and project management structures in ClickUp

Salary & Benefits

  • $2000- $2500 USD per month/depending on your location and skills/experience
  • 15 Days Paid Time Off + Christmas Day + New Year's Day Paid Off

Our Recruitment Process

  • Step 1: Initial screening call with our recruitment team
  • Step 2: Assessment to showcase your skills (if applicable)
  • Step 3: Final interview with our Hiring Manager
  • Step 4: Offer extended
