Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable People Ops Associate to provide hands-on HR support across a dynamic portfolio of clients. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, supporting day-to-day HR operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with everything from onboarding to policy development.

This position is ideal for an experienced HR Generalist or HR Business Partner with strong US employment law knowledge who excels in an agile, multi-client consulting environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Client Support & HR Advisory: Serve as a primary HR point of contact for an assigned client portfolio. Build trusted advisor relationships while understanding each client’s unique business, culture, and HR priorities.

  • Compliance & Policy Governance: Ensure compliance with US federal and state employment regulations. Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining Employee Handbooks and HR policies while recommending best practices.

  • Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle: Facilitate smooth new hire onboarding experiences, coordinate cross-functional setup, and manage electronic employee records, status changes, benefits, and absence administration using various HRIS platforms.

  • Talent Management & Performance: Support clients through performance management cycles (new hire reviews, discipline, annual appraisals) and assist talent management initiatives.

  • Recruitment Support: As needed, assist recruitment teams with requisition postings, background screenings, and offer letter preparation.

  • Process & Experience Improvement: Identify service gaps, operational risks, and opportunities to optimize the overall client experience while sharing templates and best practices across the HR consulting team.

  • Issue Escalation: Provide day-to-day guidance on HR matters, escalating complex strategic or legal issues to the Principal Consultant when necessary.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive HR experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.

  • Legal Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with employee relations and a strong, working knowledge of US federal and state employment laws.

  • Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with popular HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, HiBob, Gusto, Rippling).

  • Remote Workspace: Reliable high-speed internet access and a dedicated, quiet home office set up to handle sensitive/confidential information.

  • Skills: Excellent time management, task prioritization, and self-directed productivity in a remote environment.

 

Preferred:

  • Certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.

  • Industry Background: Prior experience in HR consulting or multi-client service environments.
