SUMMARY

The People Operations Specialist provides daily support to the People Operations & Total Rewards Team, helping ensure efficient operations and positive employee experience. This role strengthens HR processes through a datadriven, employeefocused approach, with emphasis on key stages of the employee lifecycle such as onboarding, transitions, and offboarding. It also supports all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including compensation, benefits, and HR system administration.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Employee Lifecycle Management

Support new hire onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance to ensure a seamless experience

  1. New hire data entry
  2. Employee offboarding data entry
  3. Employee Job Change data entry


  • Data & Systems

Maintain data entry in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) to ensure data accuracy

  1. Support Talent Acquisition with the Employee Referral Program 
  2. Process and track tuition reimbursement payments
  3. Generate org charts
  4. Support Ad hoc reporting requests


  • Employee Engagement & Culture Advocacy

Develop initiatives to support company culture, employee satisfaction, and performance

  1. Assist with employee events including Employee Recognition Awards Program, Bring Your Child to Work Day, Employee Summer Picnic, Children’s and annual Holiday Parties, and other special celebrations
  2. Collaborate on initiatives that strengthen employer branding, wellness, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) 


  • Compliance & Support

Answer employee inquiries regarding policies and ensuring compliance with labor laws

  1. Responsible for assisting with and maintaining Employee Handbook revisions and HR forms
  2. Assist with ACA reporting, EEO reporting, Unemployment Claims, and Benefit Non-discrimination testing
  3. Assist Payroll with questions during processing


  • Benefits

Assist with benefits planning annual open enrollment administration

  1. Conduct annual dependent verification audit
  2. Answer employee benefits questions
  3. Assist with the CO FMLA/FAMLI leave process
  4. Assist with Employee/Wellness activities including Flu Shots, Service Awards, Flower Requests, and RTD bus passes
  5. Process monthly benefit invoices


  • Process Improvement

Document and optimize HR workflows to increase productivity and engagement

 

  • Other Duties

Work closely with HR Business Partners on projects and administrative support as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with some college preferred. Two years in HR operations or a related role or a combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
