Perform various HR business partner duties in support of assigned facility(s) and/or functions and work closely with management and Employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
People Operations Partner to Assigned Location
- Works closely with management and Employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization and be a key resource and advocate for Employees.
- With the facility management teams, create and evaluate key HR metrics, research and resolve issues and maintain continuous improvement focused on the delivery of information and the quality and effectiveness of human resources activities.
- Help to resolve Employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line/function management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Provides the face to face contact for all HR guidance, direction, and training for all Employees at the assigned facility.
- Administer performance review and salary administration programs at respective facility to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization as requested.
- Manages the hiring and onboarding process at assigned facility with strong collaboration with hiring managers.
- Assist with the development of policies and procedures that are in line with our culture.
- Collaboratively work in partnership with other HR team members to set high level guidelines and effectively deliver solutions to the organization.
Safety and Workers Compensation
- Act as a safety champion and change agent to reduce and eliminate workplace illness and injury.
- Partners with the facility safety committee to investigate, audit, and ensure proper safety procedures and policies are followed.
- Manage the workers comp for the assigned facility from first report of injury to full healing and return to work.
- Assist with workers comp conversations and investigations and ensure proper procedures and policies are understood and followed.
Payroll and Benefits
- Assists payroll with timecard entries, PTO deductions, and timecard discrepancies.
- Administers, approves and tracks FMLA.
EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR, Recruiting or Employee Relations position
- Manufacturing experience desired
- Recruiting experience is required
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of HR practices and strategies, employment law, recruitment programs and selection processes, manufacturing operations and relational database utilization
- Intermediate to advanced level of operations in MS Office Suite and HRIS
- Working knowledge of general HR principles and a focus on metrics is required
