What you will love about this position...

The People Operations Partner is responsible for performing human resources (HR) related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Director of People Operations. While this position carries out the primary responsibilities of payroll processing and administration, compliance training and development, and team member engagement, other duties across general human resources functions may be assigned.

What you are responsible for...

Payroll Processing and Administration

  • Manage payroll processing routine to ensure smooth completion of routine bi-weekly and special pay submissions while maintaining accurate payroll records of pay history, deduction changes, and tax documents
  • Maintain knowledge concerning relevant federal, state, and local regulations affecting payroll, including payroll taxes, deductions, and withholdings
  • Generate and maintain necessary payroll reports in designated location as required by law and E3 policy, including payroll summaries, tax filings, and reconciliations
  • Coordinate with accounting to assist in routine audits, including W2 reconciliation, quarterly tax reporting, etc.
  • Serve as main point of contact for team member inquiries concerning payroll, including statements, tax withholdings, payroll adjustments, etc.

Training and Development

  • Coordinate team member training on HRIS and online system functions and communicate relevant updates to team members
  • Manage annual training initiatives and coordinate with other departments to create and maintain company-specific and industry-specific training as needed

Team Member Engagement

  • Align internal customer service with the E3 culture goals to ensure team members receive top priority
  • Assist in creating and supporting company engagement initiatives

General Human Resources

  • Maintain professional-level knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory requirements necessary for team communication and policy updating
  • Proactively contribute to the development, implementation, and/or maintenance of forward-thinking personnel policies and procedures designed to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
  • Assist in the set-up and maintenance of company's HRIS and other online systems
  • Assist the POPS Director in driving benefits processes, including renewal, carrier communication, and internal coordination with POPS Partners and the business operations team
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling team member data records which includes protected health information and personal demographics
  • Assist the management team with special projects and other tasks as assigned

What is required to be successful in this role...

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university and five years of related work experience; or ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. HR Professional Certification with prior or current membership with an HR professional organization and desire to continue or renew.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
