Domaine is looking for a warm, proactive People Operations Manager to support our team’s growth and wellbeing. You will be the go-to person for HR and employee experience, ensuring smooth processes, compliance with Dutch labor laws, and a positive, engaging workplace culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Experience & Onboarding
- Design and implement warm, structured onboarding for new colleagues ensuring a flying start
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding with focus on positive experiences
- Create and distribute internal communications in Dutch and English related to HR policies, benefits, and company initiatives
- Develop and execute culture calendar including team outings, drinks, sports activities, and company events
- Actively contribute to maintaining an open, safe, and positive work culture
Benefits & Compensation Management
- Manage and optimize Dutch benefits programs including pension schemes (4% employer contribution), holiday allowance (8% paid monthly)
- Administer leave (24 vacation days full-time), sick leave, special leave, and other leave-related processes
- Manage mobility budgets, home working allowances (€2.35 per day), and equipment allocation (MacBooks, pool cars)
- Support European compensation reviews and salary benchmarking against Dutch market standards
- Advise employees on benefits utilization and options
HR Operations & Administration
- Manage daily HR administration including contracts, changes, leave and sickness management
- Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with GDPR and Dutch data protection requirements
- Support European payroll processes in coordination with Finance
- Manage and optimize HRIS systems (preferably Rippling experience)
Policy & Compliance
- Execute HR policies and encourage compliance by all employees
- Develop and maintain HR policies compliant with Dutch employment law and EU regulations
- Ensure compliance with Dutch social security, WIA, ZW, and other obligations
- Conduct policy audits and updates where needed
- Support Works Council (Ondernemingsraad) communication when applicable
Performance Management & Development
- Support implementation of performance review cycles and development conversations
- Advise managers on performance feedback and development planning
- Facilitate mid-year and annual review processes
- Identify and address performance issues in collaboration with team leads
- Invest in personal and professional development of employees
Employee Relations
- Serve as trusted point of contact for employees and team leads on HR-related questions
- Support absenteeism guidance and reintegration processes
- Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation where needed
- Maintain positive work environment aligned with Dutch workplace culture
- Conduct employee engagement surveys and analyze results
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5-8 years experience in comparable HR role with focus on employee experience
- HBO+ level (Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field)
- Strong knowledge of Dutch legislation and employment law
- Fluent Dutch and English (both verbal and written)
- Warm, accessible personality with organizational sensitivity
- Independent, structured, and discreet working style
- Eye for detail, accuracy, and integrity
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly skilled with HR systems, preferably Rippling experience
- Proactive mindset that suggests improvements for onboarding, internal communication, and HR processes
- Dutch HR certification (NVP, NHRP) or international certification (SHRM-CP, CIPD)
- Experience with hybrid work models and modern workplace culture
- Knowledge of Works Council procedures and collective bargaining agreements
Availability
- Part-time available, preferably between 32-36 hours per week
- Minimum 3 days per week present in office (hybrid model)
- Flexibility for team events and company activities
