The Role

The People Operations - Lodge Manager plays a supportive role in ensuring a positive employee experience for the Rhythm team.  Key areas of responsibility are the smooth operation and management of employee accommodation ensuring the comfort, safety, cleanliness and fostering a respectful and comfortable living environment for all residents.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

Property Management

  • Serve as the live-in manager for Route 5 Inn, located in central Kutchan.
  • Supervise and manage all aspects of Route 5 Inn, specific to tenant movements, communication, conflict management and ensure staff are happy and comfortable.  
  • Manage the accommodation inductions and arrivals during the onboarding process. This includes guiding staff through the main areas of the accommodations, the self inspection process, rubbish / gomi management and collection and house rules. 
  • Handle and resolve any complaints or issues raised by staff members regarding their accommodation, addressing concerns in a professional and timely manner, collaborating with HR and the Property Team when necessary.
  • Perform routine property inspections and check out room inspections. 
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and basic furnishings.
  • Respond to emergencies and ensure appropriate escalation if needed.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

  • Perform regular thorough cleaning of communal areas and maintain hygiene standards.
  • Ensure rubbish is sorted correctly and put out for collection on the appropriate days. Re-sort when necessary.
  • Clear snow from the property access areas, report roof snow conditions to the Property Team. 
  • Enforce good resident behaviors to ensure respectful and clean use of facilities by tenants. 

Resident Relations

  • Enforce quiet hours by ensuring noise is kept to a minimum after 10 PM.
  • Uphold community guidelines to promote positive and respectful neighbor relations.
  • Prevent unauthorized gatherings or parties to maintain a peaceful living environment.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for addressing inter-tenant concerns and fostering communication.
  • Document and report any disputes or violations of housing policies to the appropriate authorities.

People Operations

  • Assist the People Operations team with events- such as parties and ride-away days. 
  • Assist the People Operations team during Onboarding and Offboarding. 

This list isn’t exhaustive and general assistance to the People Ops/HR department may be required.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to address conflicts calmly and assertively.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward cleanliness and maintenance tasks.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning and snow-clearing duties.
  • Past housekeeping/lodge management experience is desirable but not required.
