Position Summary:

The People Operations (PO) Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Human Resources programs and policies for employees. They will act as a front-line point for employee administrative questions, leave of absence management and general day-to-day HR administration and data processing.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, employee relations and escalate to People Operations Manager when necessary.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Act as the bridge between Recruiting and Human Resources; walking new hires through onboarding.
  • Oversee the Hire and Termination lifecycle in ADP Workforce Now and other systems.
  • Full-cycle management of Leave of Absence and ADA accommodation requests for the office, track and communicate these to the greater team.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Department of Labor regarding unemployment information.
  • Run and analyze reports.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, participating in the planning and execution of events.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and necessary posters for the office.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 3 years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).  
  • Professional level writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and professional demeanor, with an ability to interact with employees and others at any level within an organization. 
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communicator, including solid telephone and writing skills.
  • Excellent listening and follow-through skills.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR Certified is a plus.

Schedule/Location:

  • Hybrid: Texas or Florida (3x a week in office)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
