The People & Culture Coordinator provides essential HR and operational support to ensure the effective execution of people initiatives and compliance across the employee lifecycle. This role is a front-line representative of the HR function at the unit level, serving employees with professionalism and confidentiality.

You Will

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Support unit People and Culture Manager or Generalist with conducting preliminary investigations for infractions; in the absence of these functions escalate complex ER matters to the Employee Relations Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including union CBA adherence if applicable.
  • Support corrective actions and maintain appropriate documentation with fairness and consistency. Escalate to the People & Culture Manager or Generalist as needed in the absence of these functions escalate to the Senior Employee Relations Manager.

 

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure seamless local hiring and onboarding.
  • Lead on-site orientation and support timely completion of new hire documentation and training.
  • Represent dnata at local recruitment events and job fairs to promote employer branding.

 

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Coordinate and facilitate Day 1 orientation and training setup for new hires.
  • Prepare onboarding materials, badges, uniforms, and system access in coordination with relevant departments.

 

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and HR systems teams to resolve issues and ensure timely processing and accuracy of all data submitted to payroll/shared services.
  • Assist with maintaining employee records in both digital and physical formats in compliance with dnata standards and legal requirements.
  • Support completion and accuracy of new hire paperwork, including I-9s, background checks, and benefits enrollment.
  • Process HR transactions related to status changes, terminations, transfers, and attendance.
  • Support offboarding processes including final paycheck requests, return of assets, and exit logistics.

 

Training & Data Support

  • Track and update training completion data (e.g., safety, MLZ, job-specific).
  • Assist with scheduling TTT, safety, and compliance training sessions.
  • Run reports and provide administrative support for performance evaluation cycles and audit readiness.

 

Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Support unit recognition and engagement activities, including service awards, surveys, and events.
  • Serve as a resource to employees regarding HR processes, timekeeping, and policy navigation.
  • Uphold dnata’s values through respectful communication and professional service.

You Have

EDUCATION: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2 years of HR or administrative experience required; HR internship or union environment exposure preferred.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, timekeeping tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality.
  • Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish or other) preferred.
  • Must be able to complete dnata’s TTT and Master Training certification within 180 days of employment.
