Quick Overview of the role

We are currently seeking a People & Culture Administrator to join the team in a part-time capacity. This role is primarily responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment and supporting the People & Culture team in an admin capacity. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role is responsible for onboarding of new employees, managing employee referrals, reporting, and participating in school and community events. We are ideally looking for someone that can work 5 days a week but part-time hours i.e. school hours.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment within legislative requirements, which include but not limited to advertising, shortlisting, phone screening, interviewing and conducting reference checks.
  • Upon successful identification of a candidate, formally offer a position and initiate and manage the onboarding process.
  • Liaise with the HSEQ team to arrange pre-employment medicals.
  • Liaise with Hiring Manager/Executive Manager with recruitment requirements and salary budgets.
  • Develop and manage interview guides for all roles across the business.
  • Attend networking events and functions as requested and approved.
  • Organise, manage and distribute new starter packs to all new employees.
  • Conduct a P&C induction and tour of the Currumbin site for all new employees.
  • Manage employee referrals in accordance with the Employee Referral Policy.
  • Assist with reviewing P&C Policies as requested.
  • Coordinate and participate in school and community events when requested.
  • Responsible for managing apprentice claims and incentives.
  • Act as the company liaison between TAFE and RTO for all Apprentices.
  • Process employee terminations.
  • Process jury duty excusal letter requests.
  • Create and distribute weekly Internal Announcement emails.
  • Manage all employee birthdays through calendar invites and issuing birthday cards and vouchers monthly.
  • Manage employee Service Awards including gift, morning tea and award.
  • Assist with P&C reporting when requested.
  • Manage and track Rewards and Recognition program.
  • Carry out project work as allocated and directed.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking as requested.

  • Certificate in Business, Human Resources or similar.
  • High-level administrative skills.
  • Excellent phone and email manner.
  • Skilled in developing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Dynamic and moves with change.
  • Strong admin skills and willingness to support different teams.
  • Strong ability to prioritise workload and work autonomously.
  • Previous experience in a similar role highly regarded.
