Opportunity

The People and Culture Coordinator supports the delivery of key people and culture functions and initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. This role supports the People and Culture team to ensure smooth operations across all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance and development, learning, compliance and wellbeing.

Suitable applicants will have demonstrated experience with all related recruitment, onboarding, reboarding and offboarding activities as well as knowledge of the Fair Work Act (2009), National Employment Standards (NES) and Industrial Instruments.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of our Brisbane office in Dutton Park. Leukaemia Foundation adopts a hybrid working model, therefore if you have a suitable home workstation you will have the flexibility to work from home up to two days a week.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Partner with hiring leaders to manage end-to-end recruitment including job advertisements, interviews, employment checks, contract generation, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate onboarding, reboarding, and offboarding processes in collaboration with IT, Payroll, and Office Managers.
  • Ensure smooth transitions for new, returning, and exiting employees.

HR Documentation & Systems

  • Generate contract variation letters and employee change communications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and organisational charts.
  • Manage employee data and lifecycle processes within the HRIS.
  • Support implementation and optimisation of HR & WHS systems and tools.

Performance, Engagement & Recognition

  • Support delivery of annual performance and development programs.
  • Coordinate engagement surveys and employee voice initiatives.
  • Deliver employee recognition programs aligned to organisational values.  
  • Organise employee engagement activities and track participation and feedback for continuous improvement.

Learning & Development

  • Coordinate learning activities and maintain the organisational training matrix.
  • Support delivery of training sessions and development initiatives.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Assist in the delivery of remuneration and benefits programs to support employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Process Improvement & Projects
  • Identify and implement process improvements across HR operations.
  • Provide support for People and WHS-related projects and initiatives.
  • Deliver exceptional service while continuously improving systems, processes, and policies.
