DescriptionReporting to the Director of People and Culture, the People & Culture Coordinator is the glue of our people operations, ensuring the smooth administration of our employee lifecycle and providing essential support to the People and Culture team. This role is a blend of administrative excellence, project coordination, and frontline employee support, serving as a first point of contact for the team.

The People & Culture Coordinator will support the administration of our benefits, recruitment logistics, HRIS, and people operations, ensuring that as VERB grows, our foundational people practices remain consistent, compliant, and welcoming. This role is ideal for an early-career people professional who thrives on variety, takes pride in "getting the details right," and wants to learn the inner workings of a fast-growing agency culture.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Director, People & Culture and the People and Culture Business Partner to support day-to-day people operations, acting as the primary administrator for our HR systems and employee records.
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment logistics, including posting roles, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate communications to ensure a premium candidate experience.
- Lead the operational side of onboarding and off-boarding, ensuring all documentation, equipment requests, and first-week schedules are executed flawlessly.
- Maintain and update our HRIS and people folders with meticulous accuracy, ensuring data integrity for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Support the administration of employee benefits and perks, acting as a resource for team members with questions regarding coverage or enrolment.
- Assist in the coordination of Learning & Development initiatives, including tracking attendance, managing workshop logistics, and organizing training materials.
- Help foster VERB’s entrepreneurial and collaborative culture by coordinating team events, rituals, and recognition programs that bring our values to life.
- Support the development, maintenance, and communication of people policies, ensuring information is accessible and clearly organized on internal platforms.
- Assist with basic people data collection and reporting, such as tracking engagement survey participation rates or headcount trends.
- Act as a culture carrier across the employee lifecycle, ensuring every touchpoint reinforces psychological safety, ownership, and a bias toward action.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of progressive HR/People experience, ideally in a fast-paced or agency environment.
- Post-secondary education in human resources, business, organizational development, or a related field; progress toward a CHRP/CPHR designation is an asset.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple administrative tasks without losing sight of the details.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate policy and process into plain, practical language.
- High degree of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive employee information and confidential data.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset; equally comfortable building from a blank page and improving what already exists.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Google Workspace, and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build rapport with team members at all levels.
