So, what’s the job? 

  • You’ll manage end‑to‑end payroll operations with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. 

  • You’ll validate payroll inputs such as attendance, leave, bonuses, deductions, investment proofs, Form 16, and F&F settlements. 

  • You’ll reconcile payroll reports and coordinate with external payroll vendors when required. 

  • You’ll oversee statutory compliance including taxation, statutory deductions, ETDS filing, and gratuity reconciliation. 

  • You’ll ensure timely quarterly and annual payroll returns, Form 16 submission, and investment proof verification. 

  • You’ll maintain payroll documentation for audits and adapt processes to regulatory changes. 

  • You’ll prepare and submit accurate quarterly and annual tax returns. 

  • You’ll manage statutory filings such as tax, EPF, pension, and stay updated on labour law changes. 

  • You’ll respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related employee queries. 

  • You’ll support month‑end payroll processes, F&F settlements, exit formalities, and BGV documentation. 

  • You’ll independently manage HR operations including payroll updates, compliance, and lifecycle tasks. 

  • You’ll roll out confirmation, promotion, and warning letters and handle ex‑employee queries. 

  • You’ll administer onboarding, transfers, confirmations, promotions, and exits in HRIS systems. 

  • You’ll maintain accurate employee records and support benefits administration. 

  • You’ll ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal policies. 

  • You’ll assist in HR audits and prepare management reports. 

  • You’ll collaborate with Finance, Legal, and vendors to streamline HR processes. 

  • You’ll manage tasks related to visiting cards, attendance, leave, and benefits. 

  • You’ll prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and tax reports. 

  • You’ll generate ad‑hoc payroll, HR, and compliance reports as required. 

  • You’ll support reporting and reconciliation for leave, gratuity, and other statutory requirements. 

  • You’ll use Excel to perform payroll analysis and statutory reporting. 

  • You’ll support PeopleConnect functions such as Preceda and Compass reporting. 

  • You’ll participate in audits by providing relevant data. 

  • You’ll contribute to continuous improvement and automation of payroll and HR processes. 

  • You’ll assist in system upgrades, testing, and new implementations. 

  • You’ll align global policies with India-specific statutory requirements. 

  • You’ll collaborate with HRBPs and stakeholders on compliance and best practices. 

  • You’ll demonstrate high attention to detail and strong analytical ability. 

 

And what are we looking for? 

  • You’ll require strong attention to detail and analytical skills. 

  • You’ll bring 8+ years of payroll experience in a similar role 

  • You’ll have sound knowledge of legislative requirements, including local taxation, gratuity legislation, and award interpretation (preferred) 

  • You’ll have experience with HRIS systems (Sensys, SuccessFactors) and payroll software; Preceda/Compass skills preferred but not essential 

  • You’ll be proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas 

  • You’ll have strong analytical skills with high attention to detail 

  • You’ll have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills 

  • You’ll have the ability to work independently 

  • You’ll display excellent communication skills (English; proficiency in local language is a plus) 

  • You’ll have the ability to handle confidential information with discretion Accuracy and attention to detail 

  • You’ll display team collaboration
