The Onboarding and Employee Experience Manager is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving a consistent, efficient, and engaging onboarding and early employee experience across India.
The role ensures new employees feel welcomed, supported, and connected from day one, enabling faster integration, stronger engagement, and improved retention. It has end‑to‑end accountability for the onboarding platform and uses onboarding survey data and early employee feedback to guide continuous improvements to the new employee experience.
The role works closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, People Leaders, and operational stakeholders to ensure onboarding and employee experience practices are locally relevant, compliant with Indian employment legislation, and aligned to enterprise frameworks.
Key Responsibilities Onboarding Experience
- Own and continuously improve the end‑to‑end onboarding experience for new and transferring employees across India.
- Ensure onboarding processes are efficient, consistent, employee‑centred, and delivered in line with enterprise standards and local requirements.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and People Leaders to support effective onboarding planning, delivery, and early integration.
- Provide clear guidance, tools, and support to managers to enable strong onboarding practices and accountability.
Onboarding Systems & Tools Management
- Own and manage the onboarding tool, ensuring it supports efficient, compliant, and scalable onboarding across India.
- Maintain and continuously improve onboarding workflows, content, and automation to enhance the employee and manager experience.
- Monitor onboarding completion, system data, and user feedback to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with HR Operations, IT, and vendors (as applicable) to resolve issues and implement system enhancements.
- Leverage the onboarding tool to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and support business growth.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Design and deliver employee experience initiatives focused on early tenure, connection, and engagement.
- Ensure the onboarding and early employee experience reflects organisational values, culture, and ways of working.
- Partner with HR and People Leaders to embed strong employee experience practices across teams and locations in India.
Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Continuously review and analyse onboarding survey data and early employee feedback to assess the effectiveness of the onboarding experience.
- Identify trends, experience gaps, risks, and opportunities using quantitative and qualitative data.
- Translate insights into clear, actionable improvements to onboarding processes, content, tools, and manager practices.
- Monitor the impact of changes over time to ensure continuous improvement of the new employee experience, with a focus on engagement, time‑to‑productivity, and early retention.
Stakeholder & Regional Partnership
- Act as a trusted partner to HR, Talent Acquisition, and People Leaders across India.
- Ensure onboarding and employee experience practices are culturally relevant and compliant with local employment legislation.
- Collaborate with APAC and global HR teams to align local delivery with enterprise frameworks while meeting local business needs.
QualificationsQualifications
- MBA in Human Resource with 15+ years of experience in handling large scale HR On boarding and Operations.
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of onboarding, employee experience, and early‑tenure engagement principles.
- Proven ability to manage and optimise HR systems or onboarding platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret survey data and translate insights into practical improvements.
- Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills across diverse teams and locations.
- Well‑developed communication skills, with the ability to create clear guidance and engage managers effectively.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
