  • Temporary full-time opportunity for up to 6 months (5 days/35 hours per week)

  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464.00 TO $142,665.00 plus super (Clerk Grade 9/10)

The role

As an Organisation Design & Workforce Planning Partner you will partner closely with leaders, executives and People Partners to shape a future‑ready workforce. You will be responsible for analysing workforce and business data to identify critical skills, emerging priorities and capability gaps, and translate these insights into practical, future‑focused workforce plans and initiatives. A key focus of this role involves developing frameworks, toolkits and processes that strengthen talent management, and capability development across the organisation. Additionally, you will design and deliver strategic HR projects aligned to the Departments workforce strategy.

 

This position requires someone who thrives in complex, fast‑moving environments and can confidently navigate ambiguity while supporting multiple initiatives. You will be responsible for leading and supporting change management planning to ensure workforce changes are understood, adopted and embedded. Candidates with strong stakeholder engagement skills, strategic thinking capability, and experience conducting functional reviews, data analysis and organisational redesign will thrive in this role. What you will bring to the role

  • Strong analytical capability to interpret complex workforce and business data, identify trends, and translate insights into evidence‑based workforce plans, organisation design recommendations and strategic options.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and resilience to operate effectively in an environment of ongoing organisational change, shifting priorities and evolving workforce needs.
  • Excellent time‑management and organisational skills to balance multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • High‑level documentation capability and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across workforce plans, structural design artefacts, analytics outputs and change‑related materials.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence leaders, manage expectations, facilitate discussions, and support alignment across diverse business areas.
  • Creative problem‑solving and strategic thinking to design practical, future‑focused workforce and organisation design solutions, particularly when navigating ambiguity, limited information or complex change impacts.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and or Business Management, or equivalent significant experience.
