Our mining client based near Rustenburg is seeking the proffesional services of a Mine Planner at their opencast operation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Mine Design and Scheduling
Prepare daily and weekly mineral extraction plans and production schedules in line with the monthly plan Mine Planning
Obtain, interpret and validate the mining production rates, geotechnical information and other factors in line with the overall mine strategic plan and statutory requirements.
Update mining layouts daily and weekly to schedule the required resources to achieve the production rates.
Compile daily and weekly plans and schedules in advance and reconcile with daily and weekly plans and schedules
Identify and manage risks that affect planning
Report variances in weekly schedule, if required, within span of control
Desired Experience & Qualification
Degree in Mining or relevant
At least 5 years experience in a mine planning environment long and short term
