Manager of Culture & People (The Culture Architect)

We are looking for a Culture Architect—a "Unicorn" who can live and breathe our mission while building the systems that protect it. While you will have an HR Generalist to handle some HR tasks like payroll data entry, onboarding prep and screening, you will take full ownership over building and protecting the company culture.

Key Areas of Ownership
1. Cultural Engineering & Training
- Strengths-Based Onboarding: Lead high-impact orientations that set the tone for radical inclusion from Day 1.
- Transformative Training: Develop and oversee ongoing training programs for existing employees that move beyond "compliance videos" to foster social impact leadership and tech-forward thinking.
- eNPS Mastery: Take total ownership of the Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS). You won't just track the score; you will design the culture that makes our staff enthusiastic advocates for Avant.
- Employee Appreciation: Design and execute genuine, memorable appreciation activities that make every team member feel seen and valued, executed "full out" while remaining within budget.
2. Strategic Operations & Compliance
- Policy Architecture: Maintain and evolve company policies and procedures using modern tech to ensure they are agile, human-centric, and legally sound.
- Regulatory Guardianship: Ensure unwavering compliance with all regulatory authorities, acting as a company-minded protector and diplomatic liaison.
- Benefits Strategy: Oversee the benefits program for full-time employees, ensuring our package supports the "whole person" and reflects our value of deep support.
- Inventory Management: Oversee essential inventory to ensure our Professional Host locations and Remote Support setups are equipped for excellence.
3. Advocacy & Networking
- Public Spokesperson: Act as a key networker and public speaker, challenging systemic barriers and vetting high-level individuals for our Professional Host Network.
- Tech-Forward Thinking: Champion the use of enabling technology as a bridge to privacy and autonomy for those we serve.

Qualifications
- Experience: 5–7+ years in HR, Culture, or People Operations leadership.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled at using technology to manage policies, benefits, and HR workflows.
- Communication: Exceptional public speaking and diplomatic conflict-resolution skills.
- Strengths-Based Focus: Deep familiarity with (or a passion for) CliftonStrengths.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Proven ability to maintain compliance with state and federal labor laws and industry-specific regulations.
