We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our client's Jackup rig which is currently in the UAE and will later move to Brazil.

Position Overview: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all electrical maintenance activities onboard a jack-up rig. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of power generation, distribution, and electrical control systems, while leading a team of technicians and ensuring compliance with offshore safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise maintenance of power generation systems (diesel generators, alternators).
  • Oversee high- and low-voltage distribution systems.
  • Ensure reliable operation of Switchboards and MCCs, Transformers and UPS systems, Lighting and emergency power systems.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of electricians and E&I technicians.
  • Plan daily and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Allocate manpower and resources efficiently.
  • Mentor and train junior personnel.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and manage planned maintenance system (PMS) schedules.
  • Ensure accurate records in CMMS (e.g., SAP, AMOS, Maximo).
  • Monitor equipment performance and downtime trends.
  • Oversee electrical systems for Top drive, Draw works, Mud pumps, Jacking system, BOP control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
  • Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical isolation procedures.
  • Maintain hazardous area (Ex) equipment integrity (ATEX/IECEx).
  • Participate in safety drills, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and shift handovers.
  • Maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Coordinate with onshore support and OEMs.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience of 5+ years on offshore jack-up rigs.
  • Strong knowledge of Power generation and distribution systems, HV/LV switching and protection systems, PLCs and automation interfaces.
  • Ability to read single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with OEM equipment (e.g., Caterpillar, ABB, Siemens).
  • Strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
