Description

Embark on a journey within our Human Resources function to contribute to the MCB Group in successfully executing its strategy as we coordinate our actions to:

• Enable the unique value-creating advantage work in each MCB business unit; • Efficiently deliver essential HR services needed to keep the MCB machine fine-tuned and operating smoothly; and, • Ensure all MCB employees and HR processes work to build customer connectivity, innovation, and talent capabilities across the organization.

By joining the People Experience BU as Learning & Development Manager, you will be called upon to shape and steer the learning and development agenda by translating organisational priorities into scalable capability-building solutions that strengthen leadership, performance, and long-term workforce readiness.

We are on the lookout for: Job Vacancy: Learning & Development Manager In this role you will: • Define and drive the learning and development strategy aligned to organisational priorities to ensure critical capabilities are built sustainably and at scale. • Lead and develop the Learning and Development team by setting clear direction, building capability, and fostering accountability to ensure high-quality delivery and professional growth. • Diagnose current and future capability needs through data analysis, stakeholder input, and workforce insights to inform targeted and impactful learning interventions. • Design and govern enterprise-wide learning frameworks, programmes, and pathways to support leadership development, career progression, and organisational performance. • Oversee the delivery of complex learning initiatives across multiple modalities to ensure consistent learner engagement and achievement of intended outcomes. • Establish and monitor learning effectiveness metrics and analytics to evaluate impact, optimise investment, and support evidence-based decision-making. • Manage the learning and development budget and external partnerships to ensure cost-effective, high-impact solutions that deliver measurable value. • Integrate digital learning platforms and emerging technologies to enhance accessibility, learner experience, and operational efficiency. • Partner with senior leaders to embed learning into performance, talent, and succession processes in support of long-term organisational resilience. • Ensure learning policies, processes, and programmes comply with regulatory, governance, and quality standards to protect organisational integrity. • Champion a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing to strengthen engagement, adaptability, and future-readiness across the organisation.

To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies: • Sees ahead to future possibilities and translates them into breakthrough strategies; • Develops people to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals; • Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; • Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of: • A Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field; • 10-12 years’ experience in HR or Learning & Development roles, ideally in large organisations. And • A Master's degree or MBA is an advantage; • Proven leadership capability, evidenced through prior experience as a people manager or team lead; • Experience in designing or scaling learning initiatives and platforms.
