Position: Human Resources Director
Shifts Hiring: Full time/Days


Job Summary:

The Human Resources Director will lead the HR functions at our Skilled Nursing Facility, that prides itself on compassionate care and a positive work environment. The HR Director will play a key role in supporting our team members, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of professionalism, respect, and teamwork.
This position is ideal for an HR professional with experience in healthcare—particularly long-term or post-acute care—who thrives in a mission-driven setting. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of SNF regulations, employment law, and the unique challenges of staffing and compliance in skilled nursing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as SNF-specific regulations (Title 22, CMS, OSHA, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant employee files and documentation.
  • Support department leaders with performance management, investigations, and staff development.
  • Administer benefits, workers’ compensation, and leave of absence programs.
  • Coordinate payroll processes and maintain accurate timekeeping and compensation records.
  • Lead HR-related audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
  • Promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of HR management experience in a healthcare setting; Skilled Nursing Facility experience strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and SNF regulatory standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred but not required.
