Description

 

Position Overview

The Human Resources (HR) Director is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the organization’s overall business plan and strategic direction. This includes talent management, organizational development, performance management, training and development, compensation, compliance, and employee relations.


 

Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive organizational effectiveness
  • Lead workforce planning and succession planning initiatives

Talent Management

  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
  • Develop retention strategies and career development programs
  • Ensure a strong employer brand and positive candidate experience

Employee Relations

  • Foster a positive workplace culture and employee engagement
  • Address employee concerns, conflicts, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies

Performance Management

  • Design and manage performance evaluation systems
  • Support managers in coaching and development practices
  • Drive continuous improvement in employee performance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee compensation structures, salary planning, and benefits programs
  • Ensure competitiveness and internal equity
  • Manage vendor relationships for benefits administration

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures
  • Manage audits, reporting, and risk mitigation strategies

Training & Development

  • Identify organizational training needs and implement development programs
  • Support leadership development initiatives
  • Promote continuous learning culture
Requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Proven leadership and strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred
