Job Title: Human Resources Director
Location: San Diego, California
Compensation: $170,000 to $195,000 annually

About Us: We are hiring a Human Resources Director to join our premier, family-owned home services company in Southern California. For 46 years, we have grown into a regional leader by providing legendary customer service and putting our people before profits.

The Role: Reporting directly to our CFO, you will lead an established HR team and act as the strategic visionary for our department. You will design a 90-day success plan to stabilize operations, complete our digital transformation using Rippling, and ensure strict compliance with California employment laws. We need a strong operator who is willing to be hands-on and execute daily tasks while also developing long-term strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all California employment, wage, and hour requirements.
• Lead complex workplace investigations and manage employee relations.
• Optimize our Rippling HRIS platform to eliminate manual paper processes.
• Partner with field operations to support our skilled trades technicians.
• Provide direct, detailed, and context-rich reporting to the executive ownership team.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Significant hands-on HR experience within California.
• Experience in construction, home services, or fleet-based operations is highly preferred.
• A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to respectfully challenge leadership.
