Job Description

The Human Resources Director will lead the day-to-day operations of the firm’s HR function while serving as a strategic advisor to leadership. This role oversees the full employee lifecycle, ensuring effective delivery of core HR programs including onboarding, offboarding, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and workforce well-being initiatives. The Director manages and mentors the HR team, ensures smooth workflow and collaboration with Talent Management, and drives consistency and excellence across HR processes. Responsibilities also include overseeing performance evaluation and compensation cycles, handling sensitive employee relations matters, ensuring payroll accuracy, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulatory requirements. The role is highly data-driven, leveraging HRIS systems and analytics to support decision-making, improve processes, and contribute to firmwide initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility and expertise across core HR functions. Strong knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration is required. Experience with ADP HRIS, payroll processing, and HR technology is essential. Candidates should possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality. A bachelor’s degree is required, and SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred. Law firm or professional services experience is a plus.

This hybrid position is based in Los Angeles and offers a salary range of $190,000 to $225,000 annually, depending on experience.
