Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop strong partnership with General Managers and site leadership to understand their business needs, goals and provide people guidance
  • Provide day to day support to people including benefits, ADP access, policies and compliance
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on complex people matters
  • Proactively analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and develop proactive solutions
  • Collaborate with the People Group to develop and implement initiatives and programs that support company and department initiatives, drive people engagement and increase retention
  • Continuous education regarding best practices and legal requirements to ensure compliance
  • Serve as an advocate for people, ensuring their concerns and feedback are heard and addressed
  • Lead, participate in and partner on company and site initiatives to drive change, streamline processes and continue building on our people first mindset
  • Ability to work in excess of 40 hours, as business needs arise
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Any other task or duty that is deemed necessary by management.

Work Environment / Physical Demands 

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time at desk in traditional office environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to remote facilities

  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • HRIS – ADP Workforce Now

Qualifications

Education & Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience within HR
  • Benefits Administration/Open enrollment facilitation
  • Familiarity with LOA, DOL, FLSA, FMLA, and other local and federal guidelines
  • Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to details
  • Experience in multiple manufacturing locations
  • Highly organized and able to drive projects independently
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Comfort learning new technologies
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • SHRM (CP/SCP) or HRCI (PHR/SPHR) certification
  • Experience in a Union environment
  • HRIS implementation experience
  • Ability to collaborate and influence a team
  • Developing and delivering training
  • Analytic, strategic, and critical thinking skills
