Position Overview
The Employee Experience & Culture Specialist will play a key role in shaping a workplace where employees feel connected, engaged, and supported. This role owns the employee journey from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring every interaction reflects our culture and values.
The Employee Experience & Culture Specialist will lead employee engagement initiatives, administer surveys and focus groups, plan team-building activities, and partner with leadership to drive action based on employee feedback.
Above all, this person will be approachable and trusted—someone employees feel comfortable turning to for guidance, feedback, and connection.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being in-office 3 days per week.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Culture & Engagement
- Administer employee pulse and engagement surveys; analyze results and create action plans with leadership.
- Facilitate focus groups and listening sessions to ensure employee voices are heard.
- Develop and lead initiatives that foster collaboration, inclusivity, and belonging across in-office, hybrid, and remote teams.
- Model company values and encourage leaders to reinforce them in daily practices.
Employee Lifecycle: Onboarding to Offboarding
- Own the onboarding process, ensuring new hires feel welcomed, connected, and prepared for success.
- Design onboarding experiences that introduce company values, culture, and community—not just processes.
- Serve as the point of contact for new hires, providing guidance from offer acceptance through their first 90 days.
- Manage offboarding processes with empathy and professionalism, including exit interviews and knowledge capture.
- Use exit feedback to identify trends and partner with leadership on culture and retention improvements.
Employee Connection & Experience
- Act as an approachable and trusted resource for employees across the organization.
- Design and facilitate team-building activities, recognition programs, and events (both in-person and virtual).
- Create meaningful ways to bring employees together and maintain connection in a hybrid work environment.
HR & People Operations Support
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR processes.
- Support employee inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist with benefits administration and other HR initiatives as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience in employee engagement, culture, HR, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to build trust and approachability across all levels.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Experience designing onboarding programs and conducting exit interviews.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in HR, employee engagement, or employee experience roles.
- Event planning experience (in-person and virtual).
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
