The Employee Engagement Strategist is responsible for shaping, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive enterprise-wide engagement plan aligned with organizational objectives. This role partners closely with HR teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen connectivity, enhance employee experience, and drive measurable improvements in engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Tools, Resources, and Content Development

  • Design and publish the Leidos Engagement Playbook, establishing best practices, tools, and frameworks for leaders and teams.
  • Build and maintain an Engagement intranet site as the central hub for engagement information, resources, and updates.
  • Create and manage an Engagement Calendar aligned with the enterprise business cycle to support coordinated planning.

Organizational Connectivity & Collaboration

  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to assess connectivity, collaboration, and workforce engagement levels.
  • Diagnose engagement challenges and recommend targeted solutions to strengthen employee experience and cross-functional collaboration.

Data Insights and Reporting

  • Leverage survey data and listening tools to identify trends, develop analysis, and translate insights into recommendations for leaders.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, actionable reports that enable data-driven decision-making.

Measurement & Metrics

  • Establish, track, and refine key engagement metrics to evaluate the impact of initiatives, programs, and investments.
  • Provide measurable outcomes and recommendations to ensure engagement initiatives deliver value to the business.

High-Performing Teams

  • Facilitate high-performing team engagements/workshops in partnership with HR and business leaders.
  • Help translate engagement data and insights into practical team-level actions and experiences.
  • Assist in the development of resources that enable leaders to strengthen trust, collaboration, and performance within their teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business, Communications, or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal team members across multiple functional areas and with client-facing partners; may also communicate with external stakeholders such as subcontractors and vendors.
  • Knowledge of engagement, organizational development, and culture-related principles, with the ability to apply advanced concepts to enterprise solutions.
  • Proven track record in improving programs, processes, or tools that enhance engagement outcomes and business results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience developing enterprise resources, toolkits, or internal platforms (e.g., SharePoint/PRISM) for communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft clear messaging and present insights to senior leaders.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and execute initiatives within a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive alignment, and lead enterprise-wide initiatives with a high degree of independence and influence.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
