We are currently seeking an experienced Employee Engagement Manager to work closely with the Directors Office in Human Resources and City leadership to make the City of Norfolk a great place to work!
The Employee Engagement Manager will coordinate various employee engagement initiatives. The incumbent will coordinate and develop programs, events, trainings, and strategies related to reward, recognition, and wellness. The Employee Engagement Manager will act in a lead role to coordinate training initiatives designed to enhance the competencies and skills of employees to result in improved performance and engagement throughout the City. This position plays a vital role in serving as a “people ambassador” by providing an informative, respectful, and welcoming experience for all City of Norfolk employees. We are seeking someone passionate about workplace wellness and fostering a work environment that is consistent with the City’s company culture. The ideal candidate will work well under pressure, demonstrate active listening skills, and exhibit high organizational skills with a customer-oriented focus.
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
