Job Summary:

The Employee Engagement & Culture Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing programs that enhance employee morale, strengthen organizational culture, and support retention efforts. This role plays a critical part in building a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace where employees feel valued, motivated, and aligned with the company’s mission and values. The Employee Engagement & Culture Manager collaborates with leaders and employees across the organization to drive initiatives that improve employee satisfaction, recognition, communication, and well-being.

Supervises: 

Employee Engagement Specialists, HR Assistants

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to team members supporting engagement programs.

  • Oversee planning and execution of company events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.

  • Partner with HR leadership and managers to ensure consistent messaging and culture alignment.


Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement employee engagement strategies, programs, and initiatives to support morale and company culture.

  • Oversee recognition and reward programs to celebrate employee achievements and milestones.

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage company events, activities, and employee appreciation initiatives.

  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to design surveys and collect employee feedback.

  • Analyze survey data, turnover trends, and other metrics to recommend strategies for improving employee satisfaction.

  • Partner with department managers to address morale issues and implement team-building strategies.

  • Manage internal communication initiatives that promote transparency, collaboration, and alignment.

  • Coordinate wellness programs, employee resource groups, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding activities to support early employee engagement.

  • Serve as a resource for conflict resolution and employee relations matters as they impact morale.

  • Provide reports and updates to HR leadership on engagement activities and cultural initiatives.

  • Benchmark engagement practices with industry standards to ensure competitiveness.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, or related field required

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR/engagement certifications preferred

  • OSHA 30 or ability to obtain


Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR, organizational development, or employee engagement

  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience

  • Experience designing and executing employee morale, engagement, or culture programs

  • Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, or multi-location workforce preferred

  • Ability to analyze data and recommend practical engagement solutions

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities

  • Ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the company

  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

  • Creativity in planning and executing morale-boosting initiatives

  • Proficiency with HRIS and communication platforms

  • Physical Demands

    • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

    • Have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards

    • Capable of driving a vehicle
