This position will be based out of Marshall+Sterling’s Poughkeepsie Office.

As an Employee Engagement & Communications Intern, you’ll play an active role in supporting internal communications and enhancing the employee experience across Marshall & Sterling. You’ll assist with content creation, event coordination, internal messaging, and creative projects while collaborating with People Operations and teams across the organization. You’ll also participate in community service opportunities, and learning and professional growth workshops will be available throughout the internship.

What You’ll Do

  • Support employee engagement events by assisting with planning, materials, and coordination
  • Create and edit content for internal communications, including newsletters and staff announcements
  • Design and update lobby screens to keep employees informed and engaged
  • Assist with creating videos for training and internal communication purposes
  • Support internal “social media” content for the employee community platform and Handshake
  • Collaborate with People Operations on engagement initiatives and communications projects
  • Participate in community service initiatives
  • Attend learning and professional development workshops

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a relevant degree program.
  • Working knowledge of basic office procedures, Internet, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • High level of organizational ability with attention to detail.
