Introduction

A leading machine manufacturing company is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join its design team.

Reporting to the Design Manager / Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, updating and management of electrical schematics and documentation for new and existing machines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate electrical design, documentation control and technical support across the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Draft and develop all electrical schematics for new machines

  • Compile complete electrical data packs

  • Update electrical drawings and schematics for machine modifications

  • Maintain and update electrical records and documentation

  • Create new electrical records where required

  • Support the Spares Department and issue electrical spares

 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Purchasing on electrical queries

  • Oversee electrical consumable stock control

  • Liaise with Sales Representatives when required

  • Research new technologies and improved methods of working

  • Drive and maintain 5S standards within the electrical department

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Electrical Diploma N6 / S4

  • Trade Tested Electrician

  • Electrical CAD experience (schematic drafting essential)

  • Strong technical understanding of electrical systems in machine manufacturing

  • Proficiency in documentation control and record management

  • Good communication skills
