Job Description:

Position Summary:
The Director of Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Employee Relations is responsible for leading the development and execution of human capital strategies across the organization. This multifaceted role will involve driving strategic talent acquisition, consulting with business leaders on organizational development, managing employee relations, and promoting a positive and inclusive culture. In partnership with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) and senior leadership, the Director will address talent needs, manage employee relations issues, and influence business success by aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. The role is integral to developing a high-performing workforce and ensuring an exceptional employee experience from recruitment through to retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
    • Lead and manage talent acquisition strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent aligned with the organization’s goals.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to define workforce needs, develop strategic workforce plans, and forecast hiring needs.
    • Oversee recruitment efforts, ensuring an effective and efficient  process for candidate sourcing, selection, and onboarding including New Hire Orientation
    • Develop innovative strategies to enhance the candidate experience and improve hiring success metrics.
    • Partner with the Compensation team to align hiring strategies with compensation benchmarks to attract key talent.
    • Ensure the recruitment process is compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • HR Business Partners & Organizational Development:
    • Serve as a strategic consultant to business leaders, advising on organizational design, change management, succession planning, and leadership development.
    • Drive organizational transformation and change initiatives to align with evolving business needs and workforce dynamics.
    • Develop and implement HR strategies that strengthen organizational capabilities, enhance employee performance, and drive business outcomes.
    • Monitor and leverage HR analytics to diagnose challenges, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
    • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture, ensuring alignment with organizational values, mission, and business goals.
    • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement ( Gallup engagement survey) culture, and retention through strategic programs and action plans based on feedback from engagement surveys and other listening forums.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance:
    • Provide guidance and counsel to management on employee relations issues, performance management, conflict resolution, and compliance with HSL policies.
    • Lead investigations into employee complaints or workplace issues, ensuring a fair, objective, and legally compliant process.
    • Partner with the in house legal and compliance team  as needed to address complex employee relations matters and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
    • Act as an advisor on employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, fostering a productive and harmonious work environment.
    • Ensure HR policies, programs, and practices align with regulatory standards (e.g., DPH, CARF, federal and state employment laws).
  • Leadership & Employee Development:
    • Support leadership development initiatives to identify and close leadership capability gaps.
    • Coach business leaders and managers on best practices for managing talent, performance, and employee development.
    • Facilitate succession planning processes and ensure appropriate talent pipelines are in place to meet the organization's long-term leadership needs.
    • Partner with the Learning and Development team to create programs that foster employee growth and career development across all levels.
  • Collaboration & Cross-functional Partnerships:
    • Work closely with HR Centers of Expertise (Compensation, Benefits, Well-being, HRIS and HR operations ) to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with business goals and operational needs.
    • Collaborate with the HR team and leadership to ensure a seamless and positive employee experience from recruitment through to retention.
    • Lead the development and execution of programs aimed at reducing turnover, enhancing productivity, and improving employee satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 to 15 years of progressive HR experience, including expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, and HR business partnering.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing strategic HR solutions that align with business needs and drive organizational performance.
  • Strong knowledge of HR legal requirements, best practices, and compliance across employee relations, talent management, and compensation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, lead change, and drive HR initiatives with a strong focus on business outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to inform HR strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Highly self-directed and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in healthcare or similar industries is preferred, but not required.
