About The Role

We are seeking a collaborative and high-impact Director of People Operations to join our leadership team. This pivotal role is not just about HR; it's about delivering on our people strategy and ensuring a seamless and differentiated experience across the full employee lifecycle.

Reporting to our CFO, you will build a high-performing team to attract, develop, and retain world-class talent in the AI era.

This is a great role for a leader who is a builder at heart, has zero ego, is able to form meaningful connections and anticipate future organizational needs, translating them into proactive, impactful people initiatives.


What You’ll Own & Drive

Talent Acquisition

  • Own the full talent lifecycle management, from hire to exit.  Leverage the best tools and resources available to build high velocity candidate pipelines and deliver a world-class candidate experience.
  • Structure candidate assessments that evaluate not only capability and experience, but ownership, systems thinking, customer centricity and ability to thrive in an AI-augmented environment. The goal is simple: every hire materially increases the strength, velocity, and leverage of the organization.

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee all stages of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, promotions, transfers, and exits.
  • Ensure onboarding programs create a strong and consistent employee experience.
  • Improve our performance review processes and supporting systems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Partner with the Controller on payroll operations and ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage employee benefits programs including healthcare, retirement, and help us continuously improve our employee value proposition.
  • Support compensation planning processes in collaboration with leadership.

Employee Relations, Compliance and Workplace Integrity

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Lead employee relations with fairness, discretion, and high standards. Create systems that address conflict, performance challenges, and workplace concerns quickly and consistently.
  • Build policies that are clear, principled, and aligned with our operating philosophy, avoiding bureaucracy while maintaining rigor and integrity.  Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations, and ethical workplace practices.

HR Systems & Infrastructure

  • Manage and optimize HR technology platforms including HRIS, payroll systems, and benefits platforms.
  • Maintain employee data integrity and reporting capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through AI and process automation.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop members of the People Operations team.
  • Establish goals, processes, and performance standards for the HR function.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team environment, and exemplify our company values.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MA and SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience, preferably at high-growth tech organizations.
  • 3–5+ years of leadership or people management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, payroll practices, and benefits administration.
  • Experience implementing or managing modern HRIS platforms (e.g. Rippling, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and scale HR operations.
