General Summary of Duties:
The Coordinator, People Operations supports the functions of the People Operations (human resources) at the organization. This role collaborates with People Operations leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and informed administrative support of human resource business needs including talent acquisition and on/offboarding staff; processing independent contractors; updating and maintaining HR records such as policies, data, and file; employee engagement initiatives; training and development support; managing employee inquires and inbound mail. The Coordinator, People Operations provides support with organizational change efforts including system updates, HRIS system maintenance, and supporting teams as needed.
Direct Reporting:
The Coordinator, People Operations reports to the Director, People Operations and Senior Director, Organizational Growth and Development and People Operations.
Essential and Other Responsibilities (perform other duties as assigned):
On/Offboarding: Assist with all on- and off-boarding processes of team members including coordinating schedules, employee access and resources, and fulfillment of legal requirements.
Employee Relations: Support with responding to employee questions and grievances; assist with executing People Operations events, and help manage employee engagement and perks programs
Benefits and Payroll: Assist employees with benefits open enrollment and serve as secondary contact for payroll processing
General Administrative Support: Manage inbound email and mail, submit monthly team invoices for processing for all relevant vendors
Records Management: Assist with HRIS systems information and data to ensure accuracy as well as proper maintenance and organization of personnel information and files
Safety Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety and security policies of the organization including those pertaining to physical safety and practices. Report any potential or actual violations to security and People Operations as appropriate.

Basic understanding and exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations
Understanding of human resources functions
Strong computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and related business and communication tools (TEAMS, Zoom, etc.), prior experience with AirTable, Salesforce, and/or HR systems (Paycom) are preferred
Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to prioritize
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional demeanor, and interpersonal skills.
Education and/or Credentialing Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development or the equivalent in education and experience.
2-3 years of direct experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or Organizational Development
SHRM or PHR certification(s) are a plus
Working conditions, typical physical/mental demands:
This position is located at YoungArts headquarters in Miami, FL. Work is currently performed in a hybrid setting (virtual and in-office). Typical operations take place in an office environment and/or in an event/venue setting when scheduled.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $64,000 annually
